Chocolate Dobash Cake

Mix the following ingredients together:
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 can of 7-Up / Sprite or Pepsi / Coke
1/2 cup oil
Bake at 350 degrees, for 30 to 35 minutes in a greased pan.
1 cup sugar
1-1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup cornstarch
1-1/2 cup Nestle Quik Chocolate Powder
Boil 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, butter and salt. In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch, chocolate and 1/2 cup water (mix well, no lumps) and add to mixture. Boil again until mixture thickens. Remove pot from heat immediately to avoid over cooking.
Chocolate Ice Cream Cake:
For ice cream cake, add one (1) more egg and chocolate instant pudding (you may do this even if the cake mix already has pudding in it).
Grease and flour cake pan, cool cake completely before removing from pan. Split cake in half horizontally (using dental floss). Replace bottom half of cake in pan, spread softened vanilla ice cream and top with other half of cake. Frost and cover pan, place in freezer.
Hint: Remove ice cream from freezer while removing cake from pan. Ice cream should still be firm, yet soft enough to work with. Do not spread ice cream if it's too soft, as it will seep into the cake.
