Cinnamon Rolls

Mix:

4 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 tsp. salt

4 tsp. baking powder

 

Mix:

1 pkg. dry yeast

1/2 cup lukewarm water

 

Other Ingredients:

1/2 cup oil

2 cups buttermilk

sugar

cinnamon

 powdered sugar

2 blocks of butter or margarine

cream cheese

 

Mix together flour, sugar baking powder & soda.  Mix together dry yeast and water, set aside for a few minutes before adding to the above dry ingredients.

Add oil and buttermilk.  Mix all ingredients together and place in a large covered container (I use the large tupperware container).  You can leave this in your refrigerator for about a week.  It should rise to the top of the container.

Mix together cinnamon and sugar.  Melt a block of butter or margarine.  Add flour to the dough to make it easier to work with.  I usually work with a handfull of dough, placing it on a floured board and roll dough flat.  Brush on butter or margarine, then sprinkle sugar.cinnamon and roll it.  Place it in a well greased baking pan, and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20-30 minutes.  Top with mixture of powdered sugar, 1 block butter or cream cheese.
